Are you looking for new, on-trend items to add to your summer wardrobe? Three hot trends for Summer 2016 are embroidered tops, off the shoulder tops, and tasseled shoes. I have shopped around to find you great options at affordable price points. All items included in this post are priced below $75.

Embroidered Tops: These tops are easily worn by women of any age and can be found with varying sleeve lengths. Embroidery is an easy way to add color and interest to your outfit.
Off the Shoulder Tops: These tops are extremely popular for the summer. I realize not all women will be comfortable wearing this style, so I have included two tops that give you the option to also wear them on the shoulder. If you aren’t comfortable wearing an off the shoulder top but want a similar look, you can try the cold shoulder tops that are currently in stores. Cyndi Spivey over at Grace & Beauty recently posted about off the shoulder tops and mentioned that our shoulders are one of the last areas to age. This is encouraging for all of us who are thinking of trying this hot fashion trend.
Tasseled Shoes: Tassels are EVERYWHERE this summer! They are showing up on shoes, jewelry, and handbags. This is another trend that is appropriate for women of all ages. Two of the options shown below also incorporate the lace-up trend, which is another hot style for summer.
This week I am linked up with Jo-Lynne Shane and The Pleated Poppy. Please click over and check out their pages.

Hi Melissa!
These are great picks. I have an embroidered top similar to your JCrew Factory top from Loft Outlet last year. I also like the neutral tasseled sandals you’ve posted. I’m looking for an off the shoulder top I feel comfortable in. I’ve seen a couple with cute spaghetti straps at JCPenny so I might check out those. 🙂

Thanks, Shannon! I think an off the shoulder top with straps could definitely add a bit more comfort and modesty. I hope you find the perfect one for you! -M
