Can you believe it’s already December and Christmas is just three weeks away? The weather has definitely turned colder here in the Midwest, and it has made me start focusing on winter fashion. Since my Fall Capsule Wardrobe was popular, I decided to also create a Winter Capsule Wardrobe as a resource for all of you. This capsule contains 30 pieces, and I am again offering a free printable capsule list. The widget below contains links to example items for the capsule. All you have to do is click on the picture and you will be directed to the product’s website. Now is a great time to shop for your capsule as there are currently so many great holiday sales! All of the items featured below are priced below $100.
~In future posts, I will be featuring various outfits that can be made from my winter capsule.~
Capsule Info:
- Since the holidays are coming up, I included some dressier pieces in this capsule.
- I kept all of the jewelry neutral for the capsule and recommend adding mixed metals for maximum versatility.
- For winter boots, I included rain boots and coordinating rain boot socks. Living in the Midwest, this works well for bers. You can also find cute fleece liners from vendors on Etsy.
- I suggest purchasing most of your capsule items in neutral colors and then adding in pops of color. In my examples below, I added in shades of burgundy and red.

This is great! I love the plaid top! I’m a huge fan of mixed metal jewelry- it pulls everything together with just one piece! Great colors. I never get tired of wearing neutrals. LOL.

Thanks, Shannon! I am also a big fan of mixed metal jewelry and that plaid top. I would love to have it if I wasn’t pregnant. 🙂

I don’t know if I could rise to the challenge of a capsule wardrobe, but I love seeing what people pick and how they mix and match. It’s great for knowing what to pack for a long trip too!

You’re right about it helping for packing. It really helps when so many items mix and match. 🙂
