Happy New Year!!! I hope you all enjoyed the holidays and are now ready to take on 2017. I am busy prepping my house for the arrival of baby boy #3. We have started cleaning out closets and gathering all of our baby gear together. All of this has made me think more about home organization, so I thought I would put together a post regarding organizing clothing and accessories.
Below I have included tips and products currently available for organizing your jewelry, boots, clothing, and handbags.

Jewelry
I recently needed additional storage options for my jewelry and asked for the Umbra Tall Jewelry Stand shown below for Christmas. It is large and sturdy and perfect for displaying necklaces, bracelets, and rings on your dresser. Jewelry is too pretty to always be tucked away in a drawer or box!
A ring dish is a great item to keep on your nightstand for quickly stashing your earrings and rings at bedtime. If I don’t use one, it seems like I always have an earring falling on the floor that I have to search for in the morning.
If you have open wall space in your closet, a wall-mounted jewelry organizer is also a good option.

Boots
I have been looking for ways to store my riding boots and came across the two options below. I like the idea of having the clear view boxes so I can easily see my boots while keeping them from gathering dust.
The boot shapers are great for preventing the bending and creasing that can happen to riding boots and can be used with boots placed in boxes or those you want to store standing up in your closet.

Clothing
Are you looking for new hangers for your closet? Velvet hangers are great for saving space and keeping your clothing from slipping off onto the floor. The set featured below is available in both black and grey. I would love to have a closet full of matching hangers…maybe someday.
Open-ended hangers provide easy access to your pants and jeans. They can also be used for organizing scarves and belts.
If you have a lot of scarves like I do, you should try a scarf hanger like the one featured below. I have one and it works well. I really need to buy another hanger though or downsize my scarf collection. Mmmm…option #1 sounds better.

Handbags
I recommend storing handbags in bins or dust bags. I have seen options that involve hanging them up on racks or hooks, but this method can cause damage to the handles and no one wants that to happen.

I’ve been thinking of getting different organization for my jewelry. That top stand looks great for watches and bracelets! I like that it doesn’t look like it takes up much space too!
Great ideas for organizing. I like how you stored the boots. Boot shapers are great – I wish I had more – I only have one pair. I need to reorganize my closet and figure out how to store my shoes. The shoe rack I bought doesn’t fit booties or heels. 😛 I used to only wear flats before blogging. LOL!
