Prep Your Patio for Summer with Target

Now that the weather is warming up here in the Midwest, I am thinking it’s time to prep my patio for summer. I have plans to repaint my metal patio set a dark blue which will match the pillows I picked up last year. I am also thinking of adding a new rug this year. My son gave me some beautiful yellow gerbera daisies for Mother’s Day, and they add a great pop of color to the patio. It’s amazing what a patterned rug, colorful pillows, and cheery flowers can do to spruce up a patio!

I found some beautiful outdoor items at Target and thought I would share them with you all. Each item is priced under $100.

Pillows: Outdoor pillows add color and softness to a patio. They are also an inexpensive way to freshen up the look of old patio furniture. Target currently has some pretty options, and I have included four below which range in price from $14.99 to $19.99.

Rugs: Outdoor rugs can be pricey, but if you look around a bit you can find some cute and affordable options. They add great color and visual interest to a patio and can also help cover up unsightly concrete. The striped rug below is priced at $59.99 for the 5′ x 7′ size, and the flatweave diamond rug is priced at $99.99 for the 5′ x 7′ size.

Lighting: Outdoor lighting for your patio is both decorative and functional. I found two options at Target that I would love to add to my patio. One is a set of retro-styled string lighting and the other is a cute battery operated lantern.

Fire Pits: A fire pit is such a fun addition to a patio. It’s nice to enjoy a fire on a cool evening and kids always love to roast marshmallows over them. The fire pit shown below features folding legs for easy portability, a heat resistant mesh screen, carrying bag, and screen lifting tool. If you plan on roasting marshmallows this summer, you can certainly do it in style with the cute and colorful roasting set shown below.
