How to Style Embroidered Jeans

Happy first day of fall! It may be fall according to the calendar, but here in the Midwest it most definitely still feeling like summer. I’m hoping it starts cooling down soon!

Embroidered jeans are fun and trendy but may feel a little out of your comfort zone. By following the outfit formulas below, you can feel confident in styling them casually for daytime or dressy for a night out on the town!

Styling Tips

• For each outfit, I styled the jeans with a solid top in a color found within the embroidery. Most embroidered jeans have at least 3 colors of thread which gives you a few options for picking a coordinating shirt.
• A basic white button-down can also be subbed in if you don’t have a top in one of the colors featured on your jeans.
• I recommend a darker denim for dressy looks.
• If your hips are an area you do not want accentuated, I would avoid styles that feature embroidery on both hips (like the pair in Outfit #2) and stick with a pair that has embroidery only on one side that stretches down the leg a bit (like the pair in Outfit #3).
